      I’m thinking of participating in the AI site challenge but wondering if anyone has tools to share for creating AI content?

      I know there are apps we can subscribe to that will create AI content and then there are services that will do it for you. I’d appreciate any suggestions so I can start looking into tools before deciding if I want to participate in the challenge.

      I just plan to use GPT-4 with ChatGPT.

      I’ve heard good things about Koala and zimmwriter though.

      I have used Article Forge, Bing AI, ChatGPT-4, Bard, Perplexity, and Claude 2. I’ll probably end up using a mix of all of the above.

        @Tom Seest
        How you used these tools what one is best among these?
        Any prompt that gives you the best content from these tools?

        Good morning Aslam.

        I’ve been using Article Forge for article generation for at least a year now. While it doesn’t always do a good job, it had a price and cost-friendly licensing model that allowed me to generate roughly 38,000 articles over the last year. I don’t like the grammar it produces and spend about 5 minutes per article cleaning it up with Grammarly. It makes generating articles easy, but the grammar isn’t the best. You just give it your keyword, and it generates the article.

        I’m in heart failure, so I spend more time than I like in bed resting. When in bed, I use Bing AI, ChatGPT, Bard, and Perplexity on my phone to generate articles. I can either use the Postie plugin (I do this sometimes) to email and post in draft, or I can email the article to myself for copying and pasting later if it will require more cleanup later.

        I like Claude 2 for anything that requires a big payload for rewriting. So, if I’m cleaning up a large document, I’ll use Claude 2. It seems to have a no-bs attitude and doesn’t always get as verbose with it’s writing.

        I probably prefer ChatGPT 4 with plugins the best, but I haven’t found a way to use the plugins while lying in bed easily. So, I use the other tools when in bed, and I use ChatGPT when I’m at the desk. Since I’m not always mobile, this allows me to be productive either way.

        I’m not a great prompt engineer so I don’t really have any suggestions there. I could probably make suggestions though, if you have specific questions. I don’t vary my prompts between any of these platforms or apps.

        I hope this helps.

        38,000 articles in one hear? Wow, that’s a lot. How has been the performance in terms of traffic?

      Hello Tom Seest,
      I’m sorry to hear you are dealing with heart failure. It must be very difficult to have to spend so much time resting in bed. Focus on each day, find activities you can still enjoy from bed, and know that your health condition does not define your worth. You are so much more than your diagnosis. I sincerely hope you are able to find more good days ahead and wish you all the best in your health journey.
      Thank you for sharing your experience using AI tools for article generation, Tom Seest.
      It’s good to hear Article Forge allows high volume output at a reasonable cost, despite needing grammar cleanup.
      When resting, you’ve found mobile apps like Bing AI, ChatGPT, Bard, and Perplexity useful for on-the-go drafting.
      Claude 2 seems preferred for large rewrites and ChatGPT with plugins works best when at your desk.
      You provided a helpful comparison between options, highlighting how AI can boost productivity when managing health issues.
      Please keep me posted if any other recommendations would be helpful as you continue leveraging these technologies to their full potential. Wishing you the very best.

      I use…
      ChatGPT for research, reformatting and selective re/writing;
      Claude for large scale summarization (and some long form writing);
      Human Writer does a great job with long form writing (and its essentially free);
      AutoBlogging also outputs excellent quality (for AI) long-form articles, but in bulk (if that’s your jam).

      Human Writer requires an OpenAI API key. All the above except Autoblogging are free; but it’s quite cheap (~$0.55-$1.10 per article).

      I also use some Chrome browser extensions as part of my process…
      Keywords Everywhere – It’s my go-to for keyword volume but also has a ton of other page-level data (backlinks, ranking keywords) that makes it a super cheap alternative to Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc. But it also has a ChatGPT add-on with a bunch of useful prompts; importantly, (unlike AIPRM) you can see and modify the prompts before executing.
      SERP Sonar – Disclaimer: this free extension is my little side project. In addition to many other things, by adding an OpenAI API key, the plugin will take the actual SERP titles, descriptions and other SERP content for a keyword, and have OpenAI generate detailed search intent determinations, as well as title and description suggestions. Given more than just the keyword, the AI return much better results.
      Harpa AI – This extension is packed with useful features. What I like to use it for is ‘talking to a page’. When I want to go deeper on competitor analysis of a page, this plugin makes it really easy.

      All the above plugins are free (for the features discussed), other than needing an OpenAI API key for SERP Sonar.

      Good luck, all!

      Ive been using the free chat GPT and its terrible. It lies! I ended up just doing the research myself.
      Is there any reliable tool that will do proper research eg If I ask it for monuments or art works in the world, it wont just make up the information.

        Hi @prestonames …you are right that these tools are not always accurate. I would say that calling it a “lie” is giving it too much humanity in the first place haha. It’s a guessing machine. In basic terms it just guesses the next best word.

        But it makes better guesses when you give it context. When I do listicle type posts (using your example), I definitely decide on the list ahead of time. That list can be a combo of items from competing pages and you can (with the right prompting) also ask AIs to find gaps.

        But if I am using ChatGPT I would then simply go through each item and ask it to write section by section. THEN I would still fact check and edit later. Used correctly, it can def speed things up. But I think of it as driver assist. And even if it was ‘self-driving’ I would still keep my hands on the wheel!

        Even when I was very specific eg write a short paragraph about x artwork, it was nowhere near close.

        Going to have to figure out what articles would be ‘safe’ to let it run riot for the Ai challenge.

        Run riot.. haha I like it.

        Re the specific artwork in question, was it modern or something with history? I can imagine the LLMs having no clue about modern artwork, but they should certainly do OK with old masters, etc.

      My preferred tools are Zimmwriter & Koala for writing and Neuron Writer for optimization.

      I just started a new website and all contents are written by AI. I used the combination of Bing Chat and koala writer.

      Bing chat is for researching, identify the identities, and create an outline.

      Koala writer will use what has been researched by Bing chat to write the full articles.

      In the past I’ve used ChatGPT (GPT4), but in the past few months I’ve noticed that the quality of the content decreased and it was much more difficult to prompt it into writing content that would beat AI detection tools, which was always my goal with AI content as I feel that is important for indexing, ranking and human engagement.

      Just this past week I tried out Claude.ai and the quality was much better AND seemed to beat AI detection tools much more easily.

      So I will probably still use ChatGPT for ideation, generating lists and structuring data, but using Claude for writing.

      In addition, I am a big Midjourney user, so I will be using that for generating images for the content.

      I’m going to keep my workflow simple. Keyword research with keysearch.co, Zimmwriter, Instant Images (plugin) for photos, and human-editing before publishing.

      I am going to use ChatGPT4, Leonardo, Adobe Firefly and maybe Midjourney, Bard and Runway too. I am already using all of them for some time 🙂
      I am photographer/videographer, so I will use my photos and videos as much as possible.

      I just started using Koala writer with SurferSEO. I use ChatGPT-4 to brainstorm ideas, headlines and meta descriptions and other “short” content. You can probably get by with Chat GPT-4, but I haven’t mastered the prompts. I was using Jasper AI, but switched to Koala Writer recently. I can’t say which one I prefer. I only switched to Koala Writer because I got a discount code so it’s a little cheaper. Customer service for Jasper was very good and I liked the outputs, especially the friendly tone of voice.
