I haven’t really done any new changes or updates for the last 2 months or so. Since I was running many sites as part of my AI Sites Experiment, I decided to post on them and then leave them just like that. Then, recheck on them a few months down the line, and focus on those which have shown some potential. With the ongoing Google wildness, it gets even harder. For the next 1 week or so, I will try to improve the existing contents in my websites, do some internal linking, and a bit of editing. Then leave them sitting until the core update finishes rolling (which might actually come at the same time that this challenge will be ending).
I am running about 20 AI sites for this challenge. I started late (2 months into the challenge), so my sites performance is still in the toddler stage. Recently, in the last 2 weeks or so, I have seen an upward trend on the impressions for almost 80% of the sites, while the remaining 20% are still dormant (probably still in sandbox?). For the 80% that have an upwards impressions graph, more than a half of them have very few clicks. However, there are about 5 of them that have started having some daily clicks (1-2), so not a bad start. I have not really added any articles to the sites since the last update 1 month ago. In this month (february), I will try visiting all the posted articles and improve them (they are currently 100% AI with no human editing). Additionally, I will attempt posting atleast 15-30 more articles on each site. That’s all for now!
Here’s my update
I had a delay, due to other projects, and so I have started my sites more than two months late. I bought the domains the week after the challenge started, and even finished setting up the themes, plugins, Search Console, Analytics, etc. However, for the entire month of October and November, I did not post a single article on any of the 21 sites that am running for this challenge. My first posts were on 8th December (7th in some Timezones), whereby I posted 5 articles on each of the 21 websites. Going forward, I will be posting 2 articles per day, on each of the 21 websites. Let’s see if I will be able to catch up with the rest of the contestants!
Here is my video update: https://youtu.be/n3EubXTzf9c
So, in brief, I am running 21 sites for this experiment. I have had some setbacks and operational issues that has delayed my progress. Thus, I still haven’t posted a single article on any of the sites. However, my plan is to post at least 5 articles on each site by mid next week, and at least 10 articles by the end of next week. I have started at a slow pace, but am sure I will catch up.
I have bought some domain names (on 22nd), installed wordpress (yesterday), and today I have been busy working on Search Console and Google Analytics. I already have 10 keywords for each site, so I will first work on those articles, probably before the end of the month. Will then work on more keywords and start ‘pumping’ the articles early next month. Success to everyone!
So apparently, I did this while I was on a small vacation, so I decided to add some vibe to my video, for no particular reason at all. Let’s gooooo!
PS: I recorded this video purposely for my competition for the new sites. However, as I realized there is a certain old site I have not been looking into for the last 1 or 2 years (it basically gets less than 100 clicks per month), I can also use it to join this competition too (for growing an existing site). Let’s see how it turns out!
Hey Spencer,
Btw, how can one know if they got into the competition? I’ve just read that you have communicated with the participants through mail, but haven’t received such mail myself. Not sure if by the time I sent my video it was late or not (since this thread was still open to new postings), so am now wondering how I can confirm if am in or out.
PS: I asked this question both here and in the “New Site Competition” topic since I want to participate in both, but you can answer give me a general answer in one of them.

Yes it is. Good thing is that I love such challenges.
This is a good SOP, and looks similar to how I have been doing it. However, for this competition, I plan to do it differently. This is solely because I will be running many sites (it was an experiment I had planned to do even before this competition came up), and I don’t think I would be able to feed all those sites enough articles if I follow this method. So, my plan is to use a bulk writer to generate the articles, and only polish them up when posting. Let’s see how it all turns out!

Hey too Spencer, haha I know am a familiar face, thanks for welcoming me on board. Let’s see how this turns out.
