Hi @prestonames …you are right that these tools are not always accurate. I would say that calling it a “lie” is giving it too much humanity in the first place haha. It’s a guessing machine. In basic terms it just guesses the next best word.

But it makes better guesses when you give it context. When I do listicle type posts (using your example), I definitely decide on the list ahead of time. That list can be a combo of items from competing pages and you can (with the right prompting) also ask AIs to find gaps.

But if I am using ChatGPT I would then simply go through each item and ask it to write section by section. THEN I would still fact check and edit later. Used correctly, it can def speed things up. But I think of it as driver assist. And even if it was ‘self-driving’ I would still keep my hands on the wheel!
