I was all set to report with zeros all the way down the list. But I decided just to run through the analytics for practice.
Surprise surprise! I got some traffic! My home page is terrible, so they weren’t staying long enough to engage with anything. There were actually 23 clicks recorded from different folks. I’m still not really doing well with the organic search, but it’s that little booster shot of hope that is making me take action.
This weekend I am rebuilding my home page, so that not every blog post is there, then I will add addition content with specific keywords in mind. I keep saying it, but now I’m going to do it.
Hi ya’ Folks.
It looks like I need to spend a lot more time and a lot more effort with this project if I intend to even get traffic, let alone with a contest.
I am learning, and I am still looking for my ship to come in with blogging. So far I have the oar to my ship, still working on the rest of it.
Here’s to working for it. Good Luck, ya’ll.
60 day Update.
Always late to the party. Just like the old saying that we had when I was doing desktop support at a local internet provider: “Frequently Incorrect, NEVER unsure.”
Be unafraid, be very unafraid.
It appears that I had a sudden case of S.O. syndrome (Shiny Object Syndrome) when I filled out the form for the new site report at the end of October. I filled in the form but never hit the submit button. This time I not only filled in the form but I submitted it. (Sorry for the extra work Spencer.)
Regardless, my report should strike fear in the hearts of anyone trying for last place because I think I have that placement nailed down.
Time for new strategies and time to double down on my learning and my actions. It may just be time to release my inner Web Master.
Good Luck to all.
I have my video uploaded here https://youtu.be/dbZUnBtRnZw
What a way to get me to actually complete a site. I have bought a many domains over the years with the intent of putting content on them and then flipping them. I have several that could be worth doing this with.
My name is Tim; I am looking forward to learning with this project. So adding to a site that I have some stuff on already could be just the ticket.
I live in Cedar Park, Texas, just outside of Austin. I am trying to build some additional income so that I can scale back on my full-time gig, I am the web hosting nerd for a digital media agency that builds sites for businesses. I love what I do, and who I work with, but I don’t want to do it so much anymore. I work remotely so I am familiar with the coffee shop lifestyle, but I want to kick it up a notch and actually afford to go places and do things.
I think that I can win as long as I can put my superpower (procrastination) on the back burner. It’s going to take work, tenacity, and a real focus. Today is the day I will learn those habits.
Good luck everybody, enjoy the journey.
My name is Tim, and I hail from the great state of Kansas, I do, however, live in Texas. I didn’t know when I married my wife 36+ years ago that it was against the law to move out of the state with her, and I like her enough to stay here.
AI has been coming since, well the dawn of digital electronics. (Trust me, I was there.) The level of “I” in “AI” is amazing and I’m really looking forward to stretching the limits with it.
I bought my first internet marketing course a long time ago in a far away land. I have discovered that the knowledge is easy, action is the breaking point. If I don’t follow the instructions, this project will never make any money. I want the Nomad lifestyle, and I’m really excited for this nudge to hold me accountable and flip that procrastination into action.
Thanks Niche Pursuits and Spencer for giving me a reason for action.
