Hey all! Congrats on sticking out the 6 month challenge 🙂 What a turbulent time with the Google updates to be trying such a thing! Was so interesting to try and test, it really helped me to stick with something for 6 months (lol) but I did wish I changed my idea from the get go. Thanks for putting the challenge together Spencer.

My POD Site is growing in terms of impressions (800 for March) but only 9 clicks. I’m happy to see some kind of trend and growth though – even if it’s so tiny! I did buy some backlinks but never saw a huge uptick from that (I don’t think) and could definitely be doing more to get links and the brand name out there. I did some Pinterest, but nothing came from that at all. AI was really great for some ideas, but think I’ll stick to using it mainly for blog ideas and that first level thinking in future. I agree with Jen above, I’m kind of put off the content now and really see the value in human-written articles.

To be honest, sticking something out for 6 months for me has been the real challenge and it’s still encouraging me to tick along with it each month! So stoked for that! But man, kids and side hustles? Feels near impossible to find time at the moment! 🙁

Oh wow, looks like there are some of you guys doing absolutely amazing!
I do have minor regrets for trialling a POD store mixed in with this challenge – really should have stuck with a blog haha but we will stick it out!

This month I purchased some backlinks from Fiverr – sites seemed legit enough but content was terrible (as expected.. pay peanuts…) but the links were there nonetheless – haven’t seen it have any impact at all yet! Added two blog posts and have submitted to GSC for crawling. I also started some FB ads to get a little bit of interest so social traffic was up – but also no crazy impact on the organic.

Only 3 total clicks for Feb but impressions are growing. Have tried replicating my products into female products rather than just Men’s to see if this improves CTR / interest! Also renaming to target ‘Women’s Teacher Shirt’ related keywords a little more.

Once I’m happy with the product library my goals this month are to get some genuine backlinks, add more of my own photo content (rather than mockups), run a social competition and more ads, and pop a blog post up weekly. To help with the social stuff I’ve put a post out for a VA just to try to help me get ahead, especially with IG scheduling and Pinterest as I’m wanting to see if the social interest grows, whether Google will get a little more excited about me haha.

Sharing my site as I’m starting to run ads to it this month – POD site and considering my products as articles as they’re AI written and focusing on keywords themselves. https://classactapparel.com – always been interested in Print on Demand so trying to link it with the challenge so I actually get it started and keep it moving!
I’m considering purchasing some backlinks to trial this effect on organic numbers too (always been to scared to buy links, but hey – what have I got to lose here!). Also hoping to get some Pinterest pins happening – Google might notice extra traffic from other sources and show me some more organic love haha (wishful thinking??).

1. Organic Search Traffic from GA4: Currently 0 – I’m building out a Print on Demand store and need some base products up and live before I want to launch and build blogs around the topic 😉 Hopefully live within the week.

Haha don’t stress, I’ve never done a video of myself and struggled with the video and how to do it too! Lots of learnings to be had :’). Also limited time and resources here – no team – just a few spare hours (If I’m lucky!) haha. Good luck from a fellow Bec! 🙂
